Claude Cham, Chairman of EQUIP AUTO and Jacques Mauge, Chairman of FIEV, said: “EQUIP AUTO 2015 succeeded in going straight to the heart of the market’s challenges and issues, thanks to its exhibition content packed with innovation, exciting features and brand new initiatives. EQUIP AUTO today proves to be a leading point of reference for the industry by offering an appropriate vision of solutions for business development and efficiency to support mobility and vehicles.”
Patrick Cholton, Chairman of FFC, added: “The 2015 show was the culmination of our strategy to mobilise all of the bodywork and repairs specialists and their suppliers. The FFC village, a regular feature at EQUIP AUTO for three editions now, has become the essential platform for exchange and information serving the needs of all bodywork and repair professionals. Innovation and business went hand-in-hand with a friendly and contact-rich environment.”
The show’s attributes of innovation, connectivity, global reach, diversification and education all contributed to serve a strategy implemented since 2013 and widely approved by the show’s stakeholders, consisting of more business, more services and more events.
In all of the show’s sectors spread over three halls spanning 100,000 sqm, exhibitors testified to an excellent business climate illustrated by their busy stands, and a great many qualified encounters with customers and sales contacts with immediate or short-term investment plans.
Held for the first time at the show, the “Guest country” operation, focussing on key influence zones for EQUIP AUTO (Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco and Poland) enabled exhibitors and professionals from the automotive aftersales sector to initiate top-level contacts and discover new commercial and industrial opportunities.
Inédits, les nouveaux secteurs spécialisés, tels que l’Univers VO, le Village des Startups ou l’Académie Digitale, ont permis de mettre en lumière les solutions disponibles aujourd’hui et celles qui seront les références de demain.
The brand-new sectors such as the car remarketing sector Univers VO, the Start-up village and the Digital Academy all shone a spotlight on solutions which are available today and those which will be industry benchmarks tomorrow.
EQUIP AUTO 2015 also accomplished itself by attracting significant numbers of repair and vehicle maintenance professionals to the show. This mobilisation is the result of effective cooperation by the show’s trade organisation partners, one of whose initiatives was to devise and implement a programme of training workshops which met with great success throughout the five days of the show, attracting close to 1,500 participants. These visitors were also able to take advantage of the numerous demonstrations of equipment, products and services as well as the wide range of interactive and fun features of outstanding quality organised on exhibitors’ stands and on those of trade bodies.
Innovation, a key component of EQUIP AUTO’s DNA, was in evidence everywhere on the show. In this perspective, the French and international trade media presented awards to 16 firms as part of the International Grands Prix for Automotive Innovation which this year celebrated their 30th anniversary, as well as Special Awards organised by French journalists from the associations AFPA and AJTE. Tributes were paid to a considerable number of systems and products, in particular in the category Connectivity, newly-created for the 2015 edition of EQUIP AUTO.
More comprehensive and detailed statistics, including the findings from the exhibitor and visitor satisfaction surveys, will be published in November.
In their closing address on the TV studio stage, Claude Cham and Jacques Mauge offered their thanks to exhibitors for their loyalty and energy. They noted their satisfaction with regard to the 2015 show and turned their attention towards 2017, noting that the areas for improvement which have already been identified will be immediately acted upon to prepare the next show.
