EQUIP AUTO 2017 in an era of digital transition

A revolution is underway in the world of automotive aftersales and services for mobility, fuelled by the emergence of digital and by the technological disruption affecting the whole industry. Vehicle electrification, the advent of autonomous vehicles, on-board connectivity solutions and new online services are already triggering organisational change at all levels of the sector. Consumers are naturally affected by this change, but, so, primarily, are repair professionals. 

EQUIP AUTO, the international trade show for automotive aftersales and services for mobility, scheduled from 17 to 21 October at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, has confirmed its role as a platform for the discovery of the underlying trends shaping the automobile repair, maintenance and services markets. 


In partnership with DIGITAL BUSINESS NEWS, the video news channel dedicated to startups and the new economy, EQUIP AUTO introduces the Innovation & Startups Park, a space located at the entrance to Hall 1 bringing together French and international startups and innovative firms working in the field of the mobility of goods and people. The aims of this Park are to support repair professionals in this phase of change and to facilitate contacts between “traditional” aftersales professionals and young innovative firms which are already anticipating what automotive aftersales will be like in the future.

EQUIP AUTO has designed an interactive forum on which each startup is invited to pitch their project (current state of progress, next steps) and answer questions from the floor. In parallel, the teams from DIGITAL BUSINESS NEWS, also tasked with assisting participants in producing and delivering an effective and dynamic pitch, will film a video on the stand of each startup, which will be then be aired on the website


To offer the best possible support to the startups expected to attend, the exhibition has chosen to offer à la carte participation options. To fulfil the needs of these young companies while not over-stretching their budget, they have the opportunity of exhibiting for any duration from 2 to 5 days at preferential rates.

Finally, the show is deploying a specific communications campaign around the Innovation & Startups Park, in the form of a direct marketing drive targeting more than 12,000 qualified contacts, a digital campaign on the major social media, specific visitor promotions and advertising, and a partnership with Viva Technology, the new international event dedicated to startups: a first-ever association backed up by a direct marketing campaign. All of this illustrates the desire of EQUIP AUTO to play an active role in the digital transition, guiding stakeholders in the automotive after sales and services sector and “preparing tomorrow”!
