The Netherlands: out in force at EQUIP AUTO

Published on by Chloe Maidon - updated on

This year EQUIP AUTO welcomes 30% more Dutch exhibitors than in 2015. 20 automotive players have gathered in the Dutch pavilion under the auspices of the NL Automotive Federation, and will receive the honour of a diplomatic visit.

Never has EQUIP AUTO welcomed such a strong Dutch delegation. In the Dutch pavilion, headed up by the NL Automotive Federation and HollandHouse, 20 automotive industry players will be present, including manufacturers, aftersales players and professionals in the field of innovation. Pieter de Gooijer, Ambassador of the Netherlands to France, and Jeroen Heijs, a senior official of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, will attend on 18th October to take advantage of a conference program in their dedicated area.

Diplomatic honours for the Dutch program Partners for International Business (PIB) signed on 7th June between companies, centres of expertise and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency to maximise the opportunities offered by the French market in terms of intelligent, disruptive and green approaches to mobility.

According to the Dutch Embassy, "rapid changes towards sustainable and intelligent forms of mobility, in which France and the Netherlands excel, offer opportunities for co-operation and knowledge exchange". The agreement aims to make the most of these opportunities by increasing the visibility of its participants in France, in particular at the EQUIP AUTO show. But it’s also a chance to develop relationships with the public authorities so that the Dutch automobile industry has a role to play in the decisions taken by the French government. For example, following the Netherlands’ lead, installing around 7 million charging stations for electric vehicles by 2030 in mainland France.
