Patrick CHOLTON, President of the FFC

« We are putting everything in place to encourage as many bodybuilders as possible to attend »

How do you view the 2017 edition of EQUIP AUTO?

Thanks to the strength of the entire organizing team, EQUIP AUTO is back in Paris, Porte de Versailles, after 32 years of absence. This announcement may have triggered some new registrations, as EQUIP AUTO 2017 is set to begin under the best auspices, with the presence of heavyweight automotive equipment, and the return of exhibitors who had not participated in previous events. We thank them for their confidence.

How does the FFC approach participating in this major event?

It’s about innovation coming to our rescue. These days, we’re more connected, more technological, and we must all adapt as quickly as possible. It is no longer possible to stay focused only on the fundamentals of everyday life. The message from the French Bodywork Federation expands along these lines. As a co-shareholder of the event, the FFC, recognized as a representative organization in the sector, is following this evolution.

Instead of hiding in the comfort of routine, we prefer to take an open approach to the future; an openness that will tomorrow hold the key to our companies’ survival.

What actions do you want to take during the show?

Of course, manufacturers have made SOLUTRANS their preferred event at the European level. But all our Manufacturer, Equipment and Repairer branches will of course be represented in EQUIP AUTO's "Bodywork Village". The FFC's mission is to demonstrate the value it delivers for its members, as well as its value-added services, such as FFC Experts. And as such, we are working with our regional managers to get as many bodybuilders as possible from all over France to attend.

How will you promote your services at the show?

FFC Experts is a real success. It provides our members with a free assistance service in many fields such as legal, social, notarial and tax. One year after the launch, more than 1,000 files were processed, and we will take advantage of the exhibition to encourage members to use their dedicated line more and more. A specific area in the Bodywork Village will be dedicated to FFC Experts, and here prospects will be able to get information, or even join the Federation, to benefit from the services of our many experts.

Any other highlights of the Bodywork Village?

Here, professionals will also be able to discover how bodybuilders will work in the future. This year, the Federation’s entire team is also making it a point of pride to remind us all of the importance of initial training. The FFC, which has its own training center in Villeneuve la Garenne, will strongly communicate the benefits of apprenticeship and the importance of welcoming young workers into jobs in industry or internships. The sector’s renewal and attractiveness take center stage!
