To explain the role of infrastructure in tomorrow's mobility, the Syndicat des Équipements de la Route and the EQUIP AUTO trade show have taken the initiative to create a "demonstrator" of autonomous vehicles. Installed in Hall 2.1 of Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, this demonstrator aims to recreate a 200-metre road on which three to five autonomous vehicles will travel

The purpose of the demonstrator is to bring to life the interaction between autonomous vehicles and road facilities. This “life-size” track will present different environments encountered by the autonomous vehicle: urban zone, rural zone, pedestrian zone, worksite zone. It will show different types of road equipment interacting in real-time with the vehicle: traffic lights, Road Side Units, road markings, pedestrian crossings, signs, etc. Visitors will be able to take part in a unique experience and ride aboard the autonomous vehicles.

1,000 engineering school and university students will be invited to discover the automotive world and the autonomous vehicle Demonstrator as part of the [email protected] operation organised in partnership with SIA.
