Technological automotive innovation is at the forefront of our priorities and assists us in explaining the importance of the role of infrastructure in the mobility of tomorrow. This is what brought the French road equipment association SER and EQUIP AUTO to initiate an autonomous vehicle “demonstrator”. This reproduces a road approximately 200 m long on which between three and five autonomous vehicles will travel. You can discover the demonstrator in Pavilion 2.1 of our exhibition at Porte de Versailles.

The purpose of the demonstrator is to bring to life the interaction between autonomous vehicles and road facilities. This “life-size” track will present different environments encountered by the autonomous vehicle: urban zone, rural zone, pedestrian zone, worksite zone. It will show different types of road equipment interacting in real-time with the vehicle: traffic lights, Road Side Units, road markings, pedestrian crossings, signs, etc. Visitors will be able to take part in a unique experience and ride aboard the autonomous vehicles.

1,000 engineering school and university students will be invited to discover the automotive world and the autonomous vehicle Demonstrator as part of the [email protected] operation organised in partnership with SIA.
