Why have you come to EQUIP AUTO?
We have been faithful to the show since the early 2000's. It is anchored in our history because EQUIP AUTO remains, in our eyes, one of the three leading forums for tyre distribution, with The Tire Cologne and Autopromotec in Bologna, on the international level. This is a show neglected by manufacturers and more valued by distributors like us, so it is essential to be there to communicate, present our brands and especially to meet almost all our customers in a very short time.
What is your view of the show's evolution since 2017?
The return of EQUIP AUTO to Paris and the Porte de Versailles is a very good thing. It is a much more accessible location and much more conducive to holding a trade show. I hope this new edition will be as positive as the previous one. The doubt is not about EQUIP AUTO but about the very concept of a trade show. We sense a loss of interest for this type of event, regardless of the business sector. Today, we do more relational development than sales. It's always a great time because we have a lot of sales people on the road and they can use this occasion to introduce us to all our partners who have confidence in us. But there is an imbalance between the investment that it requires and the return on investment.
What will you focus your participation on?
Two innovations will be featured at our stand. The first concerns RoadX, a brand for TC4 and heavyweight vehicles manufactured by Sailun that we have just returned to our inventory. So presenting it at Equip Auto is very timely. The second concerns Kumho Heavyweight, for which we have recently reclaimed exclusive distribution in France. It's an excellent positioning that we wish to highlight. We will also have some new products to unveil in the GT Radial and Giti Tyre brands, which we have been representing for more than 25 years.
