More than ever, EQUIP AUTO's 2017 event has cemented its position as a truly international show. And for good reason: this year 40 nationalities responded to the call of the biennal aftersales event. Germany, Belgium, China, Korea, Spain, the United States, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Taiwan, Tunisia, Turkey, Switzerland... We welcomed exhibitors from all over the world, some of whom were present in dedicated pavilions.
Indeed, the 2017 edition of Equip Auto hosted 14 foreign pavilions (China, Spain, Iran, Morocco, Poland, Russia, Taiwan, Tunisia and Turkey), including that of the Netherlands, organised by AutomotiveNL, oriented towards manufacturers and innovation, as well as a HollandHouse, which is more for the aftermarket. Overall, a third of the exhibition area is occupied by foreign exhibitors. No wonder, then, that the foreign delegations were so numerous during the five days of the show.
On Tuesday, Ismail Hakki Musa, the Turkish Ambassador in France, visited his compatriots. On Wednesday, Vincent Mertens de Wilmars, the Belgian Ambassador and Pieter de Gooijer, the Dutch Ambassador, honoured the pavilions dedicated to their respective countries with their official presence. On Thursday, Thomas Lenk, Advisory Minister and Director of Economic and Financial Affairs for Germany, visited the exhibition. On Friday, Abdelaziz Rassâa, the Tunisian Ambassador, graced the show with his presence. Finally, at the time of going to press, the visits of Sarvjeet Soodan, Economic Counsellor of the Indian Embassy in France and Pietro Vacanti, Chief Economic Advisor of the Italian Embassy in France, were yet to be confirmed. But one thing’s for sure: this event has been a trip around the automotive aftermarket world in 5 days.
