A word from the president Jacques Mauge

« EQUIP AUTO 2017 aims to enable professionals to tackle the technological transition of the market as successfully as possible »

One of the two major and unmissable events of our sector, EQUIP AUTO, will open its doors for the 24th time in Paris, at Porte de Versailles.

Our return to the heart of Paris was a desire expressed by our exhibitors and visitors and I am proud to have realized it with the help of my team. It is an ideal transition as we reposition this show as the perfect showcase to highlight the expertise of all industry players in all areas of their businesses, but especially in terms of connectivity and mobility.

Focusing on automotive aftermarket and mobility services, EQUIP AUTO 2017 aims to enable professionals to tackle the market’s technological transition by giving them the means to repair today and prepare for tomorrow.

Three priorities are defined through numerous activities and innovations that enable us to decipher the major challenges, discover current solutions and take ownership of the innovations already emerging:

First and foremost, a 100% business exhibition that is organized around 4 key themes, bringing together manufacturers, OEMs, repairers, service companies and new players in the sector concerned with mobility.

These themes are:

  • « Maintaining existing car fleets profitably »
  • « Helping repairers adapt in a market transformed by digital technologies and technological vehicle developments »
  • « Preparing repairers for the arrival of connected and soon autonomous vehicles »
  • « Encouraging the diversification of repair activities »

Strong international promotion has been conducted in the countries of Southern Europe, North Africa and countries such as Iran and Poland, where EQUIP AUTO's reputation is growing.

And the exhibition also highlights innovation through major demonstrations, in particular a demo of autonomous vehicles, organized in partnership with the SER (Syndicate of road equipment), putting in place a route representing autonomous and connected vehicles; the Innovation & Startups park, hosting some fifty start-ups, the International Grands Prix for innovation awards, and MonjOb @ FuturAuto, organized by the SIA (Automotive Engineers Society) dedicated to more than 800 universities and schools specializing in engineering.

Finally, it is a meeting place, an opportunity to network and make business contacts, and to enjoy the many conferences and events related to new announcements in our sector.

Our world is changing and EQUIP AUTO 2017 is one of the major players in it.

I look forward to seeing many visitors there!
