Berner : Our philosophy is to distinguish ourselves through service

Absent from the show for many years, Berner wanted to celebrate 50 years in the French market by being closer to its customers. It's normal for a company that has made service its major asset.

Why have you chosen to return to EQUIP AUTO this year ?

The last time that we exhibited at EQUIP AUTO was in 2006! Now this year marks 50 years that Berner has been in the French market. It therefore seemed important to celebrate this by meeting our customers at a show that is a crossroads for all automotive aftermarket professionals. And we are very proud to have finished a finalist at the EQUIP AUTO Grand Prix, for our return to the show with our multi-purpose cleaner!


What are you highlighting at your stand ?

Our strategy is based on three themes whose goal is to offer applications of both product, service and expertise to our customers based on their core business. For products, we bring together at the stand our indoor and outdoor cleaning and tyre change solutions. Concerning service, which is particularly important for us to stand out with our customers as a premium brand, we present a centre of excellence, both for advice and 3D modeling, which deals with workshop furniture configuration, and we offer its counterpart for the arrangement of vehicles. Finally, we present a chemistry database solution so that the participants of a workshop can have access to good safety data sheets according to the products they use for each activity. Our philosophy is really to distinguish ourselves through service.


You started a garage equipment business a year ago, how is it today?

The premise of this diversification was to meet a need of our customers who are faithful to us and trust us. The idea was not to offer garage equipment to develop a new business and to conquer an already very competitive market. Once again, our objective was to offer a solution to our customers. Although we started last year with one technical salesman, we now have four in France. And we work in partnership, on this equipment part, with a financing service that allows us to bundle our products.
